AdjustingtheTransmission
forNeutral
Ifthemachinecreepswhenthetractioncontrolpedal
isintheneutralposition,theneutralreturnmechanism
mustbeadjusted.
1.Blockupundertheframesothatoneofthefront
wheelsisoffoftheoor.
Note:Ifmachineisequippedwitha3wheeldrive
kit,therearwheelmustberaisedofftheoorand
blocked.
2.Starttheengine,movethethrottletoSlow,and
checkthefrontwheelthatisoffoftheoor;itmust
notberotating.
3.Ifthewheelisrotating,stoptheengineandproceed
asfollows:
A.Loosenbothjamnutssecuringthetraction
controlcabletothebulkheadonthehydrostat
(Figure54).Makesurethejamnutsareloosened
equallyandsufcientlytoallowadjustment.

B.MovethefunctionalcontrollevertoNeutraland
thethrottletoSlow .Starttheengine.
C.Rotatetheeccentricuntilcreepdoesnotoccurin
eitherdirection.Whenthewheelstopsrotating,
tightenthenutlockingtheeccentricandthe
adjustment(Figure54).Verifytheadjustment
withthethrottleintheSlowandFastposition.
D.Fromeachsideofthebulkhead,tightenthe
locknutsevenly,securingthetractioncabletothe
bulkhead(Figure54)Donottwistthecable.
Note:Ifcabletensionexistswhenthefunctional
controlleverisinneutral,themachinemay
creepwhentheleverismovedtotheMowor
Transportposition.
AdjustingtheTransportSpeed
ObtainingMaximumTransportSpeed
Thetractionpedalisadjustedformaximumtransport
speedatthefactory,butanadjustmentmayberequired
ifthepedalreachesfullstrokebeforeitcontactsthe
pedalstop,orifadecreaseintransportspeedisdesired.
Toobtainmaximumtransportspeed,putthefunctional
controlleverinthetransportpositionandpressdown
onthetractionpedal.Ifthepedalcontactsthestop
(Figure55)beforetensionisfeltonthecable,an
adjustmentisrequired:
1.Putthefunctionalcontrolleverinthetransport
positionandloosenthelocknutsecuringthepedal
stoptotheoorplate(Figure55).
2.Tightenthepedalstopuntilitdoesnotcontactthe
tractionpedal.
3.Continueapplyingalightloadonthetransportpedal
andadjustthepedalstopsoitcontactsthepedalrod
andtightenthenuts.
Important:Thetensiononthecablemustnot
beexcessiveorcablelifewillbereduced.
