Iftheoilbecomescontaminated,contactyourlocal
Torodistributorbecausethesystemmustbeushed.

tocleanoil.
Changethelter:
•Aftertherst50operatinghours
•Afterevery800operatinghours
1.Cleantheareaaroundtheltermountingarea
(Figure59).Placeadrainpanunderthelterand
removethelter.

Note:Iftheoilisnotgoingtobedrained,
disconnectandplugthehydrauliclinegoingtothe
lter.
2.Fillthereplacementlterwiththeappropriate
hydraulicuid,lubricatethesealinggasket,andhand
turnituntilthegasketcontactsthelterhead.Then
tighten3/4turnfurther.
3.Fillthehydraulicreservoirandsmallauxiliarytank
withapproximately8-1/2gallons(32l)ofhydraulic
oil;refertoServicingtheHydraulicSystem.
4.Startthemachineandrunitatidlefor3to5minutes
tocirculatetheuidandremoveanyairtrappedin
thesystem.Stopthemachineandrechecktheuid
level.
5.Disposeoftheoilandlterproperly.
Note:Iftheleakdetectoralarmsounds,turnthe
keyoffandwaitafewminutesfortheoillevelto
equalizeinthetanks.Rechecktheuidlevelandadd
oil,ifrequired.
CheckingtheHydraulicLines
andHoses
Hydraulicuidescapingunderpressurecan
penetrateskinandcauseinjury.
•Makesureallhydraulicuidhosesand
linesareingoodconditionandallhydraulic
connectionsandttingsaretightbefore
applyingpressuretothehydraulicsystem.
•Keepyourbodyandhandsawayfrompin
holeleaksornozzlesthatejecthighpressure
hydraulicuid.
•Usecardboardorpapertondhydraulic
leaks.
•Safelyrelieveallpressureinthehydraulic
systembeforeperforminganyworkonthe
hydraulicsystem.
•Getimmediatemedicalhelpifuidis
injectedintoskin.
Checkthehydrauliclinesandhosesdailyforleaks,kinked
lines,loosemountingsupports,wear,loosettings,
weatherdeterioration,andchemicaldeterioration.Make
allnecessaryrepairsbeforeoperating.
