element(Figure47).Cleanitthoroughly,asfollows:
A.Washthefoamelementinasolutionofliquid
soapandwarmwater.Squeezeittoremovedirt,
butdonottwistitbecausethefoammaytear.
B.Dryitbywrappingitinacleanrag.Squeezethe
ragandfoamelementdry.

1.Removethedrainplug(Figure48)andletoilow
intoadrainpan.Whentheoilstops,installthedrain
plug.

ofcleanoiltothenewltergasket.
3.Screwthelteronbyhanduntilthegasketcontacts
thelteradapter,thentighten1/2to3/4turn
further.Donotovertighten.
4.Addoiltothecrankcase;refertoCheckingthe
EngineOil.
5.Disposeoftheusedoilproperly.
