FillingtheFreshWaterTank
Alwaysllthefreshwatertankwithcleanwaterbefore
handlingormixinganychemicals.
Thesprayerisequippedwithafreshwatertank(Figure39).It
suppliesasourceoffreshwaterforyoutowashchemicalsoff
ofyourskin,eyes,orothersurfacesinthecaseofaccidental
exposure.
Toopenthefreshwatertankspigot,turntheleveronthe
spigottowardthefrontofthesprayer.

AdjustingtheBoomstoLevel
Thefollowingprocedurecanbeusedtoadjustthehardstops
onthecenterboomtokeeptheleftandrightboomsatlevel.
1.Attheoperator’sposition,turntheignitionkeytoOn
toenergizethesystem.
2.Movetheboomsintopositionsothattheyarelevel
withtheground.
3.Removethekeyandexittheoperator’sposition.
4.Atthehinge,adjustthepositionofthebumperssothe
boomcannotmovepastlevelwiththeground.Take
caretomakesurethebumperislevel.
5.Tightentheboltandnuttolockthebumpersintothe
adjustedposition.Torquethefastenersto135-165
ft-lbs(183-223N-m).
Note:Thebumpermayexperiencesomecompressionover
time.Iftheboomsdropbelowlevel,usethisprocedureto
readjustthebumperpositionneeded.
OperatingtheSprayer
TooperatetheWorkman200SpraySystemrstllthespray
tank,thenapplythesolutiontotheworkarea,andnally
cleanthetank.Itisimportantthatyoucompleteallthree
ofthesestepsinsuccessiontoavoiddamagingthesprayer.
Forexample,donotmixandaddchemicalsinthespray
tankatnightandthensprayinthemorning.Thiswould
leadtoseparationofthechemicalsandpossibledamageto
thesprayercomponents.
Important:Thetankmarkingsareforreferenceonly
andcannotbeconsideredaccurateforcalibration.

Chemicalsarehazardousandcancausepersonal

•Readthedirectionsonthechemicallabels
beforehandlingthechemicalsandfollow
allmanufacturerrecommendationsand
precautions.
•Keepchemicalsawayfromyourskin.Should
contactoccur,washtheaffectedareathoroughly
withsoapandcleanwater.
•Weargogglesandanyotherprotective
equipmentrecommendedbythechemical
manufacturer.
TheWorkman200SpraySystemhasbeenspecically
designedtohavehighdurabilityinordertogiveitthelong
sprayerlifeyouneed.Differentmaterialshavebeenchosen
forspecicreasonsatdifferentlocationsonyoursprayer
tomeetthisgoal.Unfortunatelythereisnosinglematerial
whichisperfectforallforeseeableapplications.
Somechemicalsaremoreaggressivethanothersandeach
chemicalinteractsdifferentlywithvariousmaterials.Some
consistencies(e.g.wettablepowders,charcoal)aremore
abrasiveandleadtohigherthannormalwearrates.Ifa
chemicalisavailableinaformulationthatwouldprovide
increasedlifetothesprayer,usethisalternativeformulation.
Asalways,remembertocleanyoursprayerthoroughlyafter
allapplications.Thiswilldothemosttoensureyoursprayer
hasalongandtroublefreelife.
FillingtheSprayTank
Important:Ensurethatthechemicalsyouwillbeusing
arecompatibleforusewithViton(seethemanufacturer's
30
