14.WiththeselectiondialsettotheDistanceposition,
pressandholdtheCalibratebuttonuntilthemonitor
displays“CALHOLD”andtheredlightonthe
monitorilluminates.
Thedisplaywillalternatebetweenthedistancevalue
(“HOLD”shown)andthespeedcalibrationvalue
(“CALHOLD”shown).
15.Whenthedistancevalueisdisplayed,usetheIncrease
orDecreasecalibrationbuttonstochangeitto500feet
(150m).
16.Whenthedisplaybeginsalternatingagain,thespeed
calibrationvaluewillhavechanged;writethisnumber
downandsaveit.Thisisthecalibrationvalueforyour
sprayer.
17.PresstheCalibratebuttonuntiltheredlightturns
off.Youcanalsoexitcalibrationmodebydrivingthe
sprayer.
ResettinganOFLCondition
Ifthemonitorreads“OFL”,itindicatesthatyouhave
exceededthemonitorscreendimensions.Pressandholdthe
Resetcalibrationbuttontosetthedisplayto0.
CalibratingtheBoomBypass
Valves
Beforeusingthesprayerforthersttimeorifthenozzlesare
changed,adjusttheboombypassvalvessothatthepressure
andapplicationrateremainsthesameforallboomswhenyou
turnoneormoreboomsoff.
Note:Theboombypassvalvesmustbecalibratedeachtime
thenozzlesarechanged.
Selectanopenatareatoperformthisprocedure.
1.Fillthespraytankwithcleanwater.
2.Puttheextensionboomsdown,ifinstalled.
3.Settheparkingbrakeandstarttheengine.
4.SetthedialontheSprayPromonitortoApplication
Rate.
5.PlacetherangeselectorintheNeutralposition.
6.Presstheacceleratortotheoorandsettheneutral
enginespeedlockswitchtotheOnposition.
7.SetthepumpswitchtotheOnpositiontostartthe
pump.
8.Setallthreeboomswitchesandthemasterboom
switchtotheOnposition.
9.Usetheapplicationrateswitchtoadjustthepressureas
readonthepressuregaugeuntilitisintherangeforthe
nozzlesyouinstalledonthebooms(typically40psi).
10.Recordthereadingonthepressuregauge.
11.Turnoffoneoftheboomsusingtheappropriateboom
switch.
12.Adjusttheboombypassvalve(Figure43)ontheboom
controlvalvefortheboomyouturnedoffuntilthe
pressurereadingonthegaugeisthesameasitwasin
step9.
