CalibratingtheFlowmeter
Note:Performthiscalibrationprocedureeachtimenozzles
arechangedtoensurethegreatestaccuracy.
TheSprayPromonitorcomesapproximatelycalibratedfor
theowmeter.Completethefollowingproceduretonetune
theowmetercalibration:
1.Settheparkingbrake.
2.Fillthesprayertankwithaknownquantityofwater,at
least100USgallons(380L).
Note:Donotrelyonthemarksonthesideofthetank
formeasuringthewaterforthisprocedure.Theyare
approximatemeasurements,butnotaccurateenough
forthiscalibration.
3.SetthepumpswitchtotheOnpositiontostartthe
pump.
4.Setallthreeboomswitchesandthemasterboom
switchtotheOnposition.Runtheboomsonlyuntil
theairispurgedfromtheline,thenturnthemoffusing
themasterboomswitch.
5.TurntheselectiondialtotheTotalVolumeposition.
6.PressandholdtheResetcalibrationbuttonuntilthe
displayreads“0”.
7.SetthemasterboomswitchtotheOnpositionandrun
theboomsuntilallthewaterisoutofthetank,then
stopthemusingthemasterboomswitch.
8.Comparethevolumedisplayedonthemonitortothe
volumeofwateryouputintothetank.
•Ifthevolumesarethesame,youdonotneedto
calibratethemonitoranyfurther.
•Ifthevaluesaredifferent,continuewiththerest
ofthisprocedure.
9.WiththeselectiondialsettotheTotalVolumeposition,
pressandholdtheCalibratebuttonuntilthemonitor
displays“CALHOLD”andtheredlightonthe
monitorilluminates.
Thedisplaywillalternatebetweenthetotalvolume
reading(“HOLD”shown)andtheowcalibration
value(“CALHOLD”shown).
10.Whenthetotalvolumevalueisdisplayed,usethe
IncreaseorDecreasecalibrationbuttonstochangeit
totheamountofwateryouputinthetank.
11.Whenthedisplaybeginsalternatingagain,theow
calibrationvaluewillhavechanged;writethisnumber
downandsaveit.Thisisthecalibrationvalueforyour
sprayer.
12.PresstheCalibratebuttonuntiltheredlightturns
off.Youcanalsoexitcalibrationmodebydrivingthe
sprayer.
CalibratingtheSpeedSensor
TheSprayProcomesapproximatelycalibratedforthespeed
sensor.Completethefollowingproceduretonetunethe
speedsensorcalibration:
1.Checkandllalltires;refertoCheckingTirePressure
intheDriveSystemMaintenancesection.
2.Fillthefreshwatertank.
3.Fillthesprayertankhalf-fullofwater.
4.Selectastraight,attrackofgroundthatissimilarto
yourturfconditions.
Note:Usingaroadorotherpavedsurfacecouldcause
aninaccuratereadingwhenyoulaterdrivethesprayer
onturf.
5.Measure500feet(150m),markingboththestartand
endpoints.
6.Positionthesprayeratthestartingpoint.
7.SetthepumpandthemasterboomswitchestotheOff
position.Themonitorshoulddisplay“HOLD”.
8.TurntheselectiondialtotheDistanceposition.
9.PressandholdtheResetcalibrationbuttonuntilthe
displayreads“0”.
10.Pressthemasterboomswitchtostartthedistance
trackingwiththemonitor.Drivethemachinefrom
thestartpointyoumarkedtothe500feet(150m)end
point.
11.Stopattheendpoint,setthemasterboomswitchto
theOffpositiontostopthemonitor.
12.Lookatthedistancedisplayedonthemonitor.
•Ifitreads“500feet(150m)”,youdonotneedto
calibratethemonitoranyfurther.
•Ifitdoesnotread“500feet(150m)”,continue
withtherestofthisprocedure.
13.Settheparkingbrake.
