•Whenremovingorinstallingthebattery,
donotallowthebatteryterminalstotouch
anymetalpartsofthesprayer.

thebatteryterminalsandmetalpartsof
thesprayer.
•Alwayskeepthebatterystrapinplaceto
protectandsecurethebattery.
3.Disconnectthepositive(red)cablefromthebattery
post.
4.Removethebattery.
InstallingtheBattery
1.Setthebatteryonthebatteryboxsothatthebattery
postsareawayfromthesprayer.
2.Connectthepositive(red)cabletothepositive(+)
batterypostandthenegative(black)cabletothe
negative(–)batterypostusingtheboltsandnuts.Slide
therubberbootoverbothbatteryposts.
3.installthebatterycoverandsecureitwiththestrap
removedpreviously(Figure60).
Important:Alwayskeepthebatteryretainerin
placetoprotectandsecurethebattery.
ChargingtheBattery
Important:Alwayskeepthebatteryfullycharged.This
isespeciallyimportanttopreventbatterydamagewhen
thetemperatureisbelow32degreesF(0degreesC).
1.Removethebatteryfromthechassis;refertoRemoving
theBattery.
2.Connecta3to4ampbatterychargertothebattery
posts.Chargethebatteryatarateof3to4amperes
for4to8hours(12volts).
Important:Donotoverchargethebattery.

Chargingthebatteryproducesgassesthatcan

Neversmokenearthebatteryandkeepsparks
andamesawayfrombattery.
3.Installthebatteryinthechassis;refertoInstallingthe
Battery(page49).
StoringtheBattery
Ifthemachinewillbestoredformorethan30days,remove
thebatteryandchargeitfully.Eitherstoreitontheshelforon
themachine.Leavethecablesdisconnectedifitisstoredon
themachine.Storethebatteryinacoolatmospheretoavoid
quickdeteriorationofthechargeinthebattery.Toprevent
thebatteryfromfreezing,ensurethatitisfullycharged.
