Useafunnelandllthetankoutdoors,inan
openarea,whentheengineisoffandiscold.
Wipeupanyfuelthatspills.
Donotllthefueltankcompletelyfull.Addfuel
tothefueltankuntilthelevelis25mm(1inch)
belowthebottomofthellerneck.Thisempty
spaceinthetankallowsthefueltoexpand.
Neversmokewhenhandlingfuel,andstayaway
fromanopenameorwherefuelfumesmaybe
ignitedbyaspark.
Storefuelinaclean,safety-approvedfuel
containerandkeepthecapinplace.

ServiceInterval:Aftertherst50hours
Every400hours/Yearly(whichevercomesrst)
Inspectthelinesandconnectionsfordeterioration,damage,
orlooseconnections.
BleedingtheFuelSystem
Note:Ensurethatthefueltankisatleasthalffull.
1.Settheparkingbrake,stopthepump,stoptheengine,
andremovethekeyfromthestarterswitch.
2.Removetheforwardheatshield;refertoRemovingthe
ForwardHeatShield(page38).
3.Tiltthepassengerseatforwardandaligntheproprod
intothedetentintheproprodguideslot.
4.Alignadrainpanunderthefuellter;refertoFigure
56inReplacingtheWaterSeparatorFilterCanister
(page45).
5.Loosentheventplugatthetopofthefuel/water
separator(Figure54)
