1.Positionthesprayeronalevelsurface,settheparking
brake,stopthepump,stoptheengine,andremovethe
keyfromthestarterswitch.
2.Cleandirtandgrimefromtheentiremachine,including
theoutsideoftheengine'scylinderheadnsand
blowerhousing.
Important:Youcanwashthemachinewithmild
detergentandwater.
Do not
use
high pr essur e
w ater
towashthemachine.Pressurewashing
maydamagetheelectricalsystemorwashaway
necessarygreaseatfrictionpoints.Avoidexcessive
useofwater,especiallynearthecontrolpanel,
lights,engine,andthebattery.
3.Conditionthesprayersystemasfollows:
A.Drainthefreshwatertank.
B.Drainthespraysystemascompletelyaspossible.
C.Preparerustinhibiting,non-alcoholbased,
RVantifreezesolutionperthemanufacturer's
instructions.
D.AddtheRVantifreezesolutiontothefreshwater
tankandthesprayertank.
E.Runthesprayerpumpforafewminutesto
circulatetheRVantifreezethroughoutthesprayer
systemandanyinstalledsprayaccessories.
F.Drainthefreshwatertankandspraysystemas
completelyaspossible.
4.Usetheboomliftswitchestoraisethebooms.Raise
theboomsuntilhavemovedcompletelyintoboom
transportcradleformingthe“X”transportposition
andtheboomcylindersarefullyretracted.
Note:Makesurethattheboomcylindersarefully
retractedtopreventactuatorroddamage.
5.Performthefollowingmaintenancestepsfor
short-termorlong-termstorage
Short-termstorage(lessthan30days),cleanthe
sprayersystem;refertoCleaningtheSprayer(page
30).
Long-termstorage(longerthen30days),perform
thefollowing:
A.Cleantheagitationvalveandthe3section
valves;refertoCleaningtheAgitationand
SectionValves(page59).
B.Checkthebrakes;refertoCheckingthe
Brakes(page24).
C.Servicetheaircleaner;refertoCheckingthe
AirCleaner(page41).
D.Greasethesprayer;refertoGreasingthe
Sprayer(page40).
E.Changetheengine-oillterandoil;referto
ChangingtheEngineOilFilter(page43)and
ChangingtheEngineOil(page43).
F.Checkthetirepressure;refertoCheckingthe
TireAirPressure(page21).
G.Preparethefuelsystemasfollows:
i.Starttheengineandrunitatidle
speedforapproximately2minutes.
ii.Stoptheengine.
iii.Flushthefueltankwithfresh,clean
fuel.
iv .Secureallthefuelsystemttings.
H.Usethestartertocranktheengineand
distributetheoilinsidethecylinder.
I.Checkandtightenallbolts,nuts,andscrews.
Note:Repairorreplaceanypartsthatare
wornordamaged.
J.Checktheconditionofallsprayhoses
Note:Replaceanyhosesthatarewornor
damaged.
K.Tightenallhosettings.
L.Paintallscratchedorbaremetalsurfaces
withpaintisavailablefromyourAuthorized
ServiceDealer.
M.Storethemachineinaclean,drygarageor
storagearea.
N.Removethebatteryfromthechassis,check
theelectrolytelevel,andchargethebattery
fully;refertoChargingtheBattery(page49).
Important:Thebatterymustbefully
chargedtopreventitfromfreezingand
beingdamagedattemperaturesbelow
32degreesF(0degreesC).Afully
chargedbatterymaintainsitscharge
forabout50daysattemperatureslower
than40degreesF(4degreesC).Ifthe
temperatureswillbeabove40degreesF
(4degreesC),checkthewaterlevelinthe
batteryandchargeitevery30days.
Note:Donotconnectthebatterycablesto
thebatterypostsduringstorage.
O.Removethekeyfromthestarterswitchand
putthekeyinasafeplaceoutofthereachof
children.
P .Coverthemachinetoprotectitandkeepit
clean.
