1.Assemblethestandpipecapoverthestandpipeand
thestandpipetothesealasshowninFigure58.
2.Alignthecap,standpipe,andsealtothetankand
carefullyinsertthenewstandpipeassembleintothe
fueltank(Figure58).
Note:Alignthehosettingstowardthecenterline
ofthemachine.
3.Threadthecapontotheneckofthefueltankand
tightenthecaphandtight(Figure58).
4.Assemblethe6.4mm(1/4inch)fuelhoseontothe6.4
mm(1/4inch)hosetting,andsecurethehosetothe
ttingwiththehoseclamp(Figure57).
5.Assemblethe8mm(5/16inch)fuelhoseontothe8
mm(5/16inch)hosetting,andsecurethehosetothe
ttingwiththehoseclamp(Figure57).
6.Assemblethecovertothetankwiththe4screws(#10
x3/4inch)thatyouremovedinstep2ofRemoving
theIn-TankFuelFilter(page46).
7.Torquethescrewsto10in-lbs.
DrainingtheFuelTank
ServiceInterval:Every400hours/Yearly(whichevercomes

Drainandcleanthefueltankifthefuelsystembecomes
contaminatedorifyouplantostorethemachineforan
extendedperiod.Whencleaningthefueltank,usefresh,
cleanfueltoushoutthetank.
1.Transferthefuelfromthetankintoanapprovedfuel
containerusingasiphonpump,orremovethetank
fromthemachineandpourthefueloutofthetankll
spoutintothefuelcontainer.
Note:Ifyouremovethefueltank,youwillneed
toremovethefuelsupplyandreturnhosesfromthe
standpipeassemblybeforeremovingthetank,refer
tosteps1though4RemovingtheIn-TankFuelFilter
(page46).
2.Replacethefuellters;refertotheReplacingtheWater
SeparatorFilterCanister(page45).
3.Flushthetankwithfresh,cleanfuel,ifnecessary.
4.Installthetankifyouremovedit;refertostep1
through5inRemovingtheIn-TankFuelFilter(page
46).
5.Fillthetankwithfresh,cleanfuel.
