fuelsystem.However,iftheenginedoesnotstart,theremay
beairtrappedbetweentheinjectionpumpandtheinjectors;
refertoBleedingAirfromtheInjectors(page45).
BleedingAirfromtheInjectors
Youshouldperformthisprocedureonlyafteryouhave
purgedtheairinthefuelsystemandtheenginedoesnotstart;
refertoBleedingtheFuelSystem(page44).
1.Alignadrainpanundertherightsideoftheengine
2.LoosenthetubenutattheNo.1fuelinjectornozzle
andholderassembly.
3.MovethethrottletotheFastposition.
4.TurnthekeyinthekeyswitchtotheStartposition
andwatchthefuelowaroundtheconnector.Turn
thekeytotheOffpositionwhenyouobserveasolid
owoffuel.
5.Tightenthetubenutsecurely.
6.Cleanresidualfuelfromareaaroundthefuelinjector
7.Repeatsteps2through6fortheremainingfuelinjector
nozzles.
8.Installtheforwardheatshield;refertoInstallingthe
EngineHeatShield(page39).
