Allowthesprayertocoolbeforeperforming
maintenanceortouchingcomponentsunder
thehood.
3.Alignadrainpanundertheengineoillter(Figure51).

gasketonthereplacementoillter.
8.Installtheoilltertothelteradapterandturnthe
oillterclockwiseuntiltherubbergasketcontactsthe
lteradapter,thentightenthelteranadditional1/2
turn(Figure51).
Note:Donotovertightentheoillter.
9.Wipecleananyresidualoil.

1.Alignadrainpanwitha5.6L(6USqt)capacityor
greaterunderthedrainplug(Figure51).
2.Removethedrainplug(Figure51)andallowtheoil
todraincompletely.
Note:Checkthedrainplugsealforwearanddamage;
replacethesealifitiswornordamaged.
Note:Disposeoftheusedoilatacertiedrecycling
center.
3.Installthedrainplugintothedrainportoftheengine
oilpanandtightentheplugto33to37N-m(24to
27ft-lb).
4.Tiltthepassengerseatforwardandaligntheproprod
intothedetentintheproprodguideslot.
5.Removetheoilllercapfromllerneckofthevalve
coveroftheengine(Figure52)andslowlypour
approximately80%ofthespeciedamountofoilinto
llerneck.
