1.Disengagetheblade-controlswitch(PTO),movethe
motion-controlleverstotheNEUTRAL-LOCKposition,
andengagetheparkingbrake.
2.Shutofftheengine,removethekey,andwaitforall
movingpartstostopbeforeleavingtheoperating
position.
3.Adjustthemowerdecktothe76mm(3inches)
height-of-cutposition.
4.Measurethespringlength(Figure84).Ifthespring
lengthisbetween25.4to26cm(10to10-1/4inches),
fromposttopost,noadjustmentisneeded.
5.Loosentheboltsholdingtheidlerplate(Figure84).
6.Insertaratchetorbreakerbarintothesquareholein
