•Removethejumperwirefromthewire
harnessconnectorandplugtheconnector
intotheseatswitchwhenyoucompletethe
adjustment.
•Neveroperatethemachinewiththejumper
installedandtheseatswitchbypassed.
7.Afterbothpumpneutralsareset,shutoffthemachine.
8.Removethejumperwirefromthewireharness
connectorandplugtheconnectorintotheseatswitch.
9.Installtheseatrodandlowertheseatintoposition.
10.Removethejackstands.

Important:Thereareonly3measuringpositions
neededtolevelthemower.
SettingUptheMachine
1.Positionmoweronaatsurface.
2.Disengagetheblade-controlswitch(PTO),movethe
motion-controlleverstotheNEUTRAL-LOCKposition,
andengagetheparkingbrake.
3.Shutofftheengine,removethekey,andwaitforall
movingpartstostopbeforeleavingtheoperating
position.
4.Checktirepressureofthetires;ifneeded,adjustto90
kPa(13psi).
5.Lowerthemowertothe76mm(3inches)height-of-cut
position.
6.Inspectthe4chains.
Note:Thechainsneedtohavetension.
Note:Adjusttherearchainstothetopoftheslot,
wheretheyareattachedtothemower.
•Ifarearchainisloose,lower(loosen)the
front-supportarmonthesameside;referto
AdjustingtheFront-to-RearMowerPitch(page
66).
•Ifafrontchainisloose,raise(tighten)the
front-supportarmforthatchain;refertoAdjusting
theFront-to-RearMowerPitch(page66).
