1.Disengagetheblade-controlswitch(PTO),engage
theparkingbrake,turntheignitionkeytotheOFF
position,andremovethekey.
2.Removegrassclippings,dirt,andgrimefromthe
externalpartsoftheentiremachine,especiallythe
engineandhydraulicsystem.Cleandirtandchafffrom
theoutsideoftheenginecylinderheadnsandblower
housing.
Important:Youcanwashthemachinewithmild
detergentandwater.Donotpressurewashthe
machine.Avoidexcessiveuseofwater,especially
nearthecontrolpanel,engine,hydraulicpumps,
andmotors.
3.Checkthebrake;refertoBrakeMaintenance(page55).
Servicetheaircleaner;refertoServicingtheAir
Cleaner(page40).
Greasethemachine;refertoLubrication(page37).
4.Changethecrankcaseoil;refertoServicingtheEngine
Oil(page41).
Checkthetirepressure;refertoCheckingtheTire
Pressure(page50).
Changethehydrauliclter;refertoReplacingthe
HydraulicFilterandFluid(page61).
Chargethebattery;refertoChargingtheBattery(page
48).
Scrapeanyheavybuildupofgrassanddirtfromthe
undersideofthemower,thenwashthemowerwith
agardenhose.
Note:Runthemachinewiththeblade-controlswitch
(PTO)engagedandtheengineathighidlefor2to5
minutesafterwashing.
5.Checktheconditionoftheblades;refertoServicing
theCuttingBlades(page68).
Preparethemachineforstoragewhennon-useoccurs
over30days.Preparethemachineforstorageas
follows:
A.Runtheenginetodistributeconditionedfuel
throughthefuelsystem(5minutes).
B.Shutofftheengine,allowittocool,anddrainthe
fueltank;refertoServicingtheFuelTank(page
47).
Note:Starttheengineandrunituntilitshutsoff.
C.Disposeoffuelproperly.Recycleasperlocal
codes.
Important:Donotstore
stabilizer/conditionedfuelover90days.
6.Checkandtightenallbolts,nuts,andscrews.Repairor
replaceanypartthatisdamaged.
7.Paintallscratchedorbaremetalsurfaces.Paintis
availablefromyourAuthorizedServiceDealer.
8.Storethemachineinaclean,drygarageorstoragearea.
Removethekeyfromtheignitionswitchandkeepit
outofreachofchildrenorotherunauthorizedusers.
Coverthemachinetoprotectitandkeepitclean.
