compare.Thesidecuttingunitmeasurementshouldbe
within3mm(1/8inch)ofthefrontcuttingunit.
Note:Allthreecuttingunitscastorwheelsshould
remainonthegroundwithcounterbalanceapplied.
Note:Ifadjustmentsneedtobemadetomatchthe
cutbetweenthefrontandsidecuttingunits,makethe
adjustmentstothesidecuttingunitsonly.
3.Iftheinsideedgeofthesidecuttingunitistoohigh
relativetotheoutsideedgeofthefrontcuttingunit,
removeone3mm(1/8inch)shimfromthebottom
ofthefrontinsidecastorarmonthesidecuttingunit
(
Figure30).Recheckmeasurementbetweenoutside
edgesofbothsidecuttingunitsandinsideedgeofside
cuttingunittooutsideedgeoffrontcuttingunit.
4.Ifinsideedgeisstilltoohigh,removeanadditional
3mm(1/8inch)shimfrombottomoffrontinside
castorarmofthesidecuttingunitandone3mm(1/8
inch)shimfromthefrontoutsidecastorarmofthe
sidecuttingunit.
5.Iftheinsideedgeofthesidecuttingunitistoolow
relativetotheoutsideedgeofthefrontcuttingunit,
addone3mm(1/8inch)shimtothebottomofthe
frontinsidecastorarmonthesidecuttingunit.Check
measurementbetweenoutsideedgesofbothside
cuttingunitsandinsideedgeofsidecuttingunitto
outsideedgeoffrontcuttingunit.
6.Ifinsideedgeisstilltoolow,addanadditional3mm
(1/8inch)shimtothebottomoffrontinsidecastor
armofthesidecuttingunitandaddone3mm(1/8
inch)shimtothefrontoutsidecastorarmoftheside
cuttingunit.
7.Oncecuttingheightmatchesattheedgesoffrontand
sidecuttingunits,verifythatsidecuttingunitpitch
isstill8to11mm(5/16to7/16inch).Adjustas
necessary.

Whilesittingintheseat,haveahelperadjustthesideview
mirrors(Figure31)toattainthebestviewaroundthesideof
themachine.

1.Loosenthemountingnutsandpositioneachheadlight
sothatitpointsstraightahead.Tightenthemounting
nutjustenoughtoholdtheheadlightinposition.
2.Placeaatpieceofsheetmetaloverthefaceofthe
headlight.
3.Mountamagneticprotractorontotheplate.While
holdingtheassemblyinplace,carefullytilttheheadlight
downward3degrees,thentightenthenut.
4.Repeattheprocedureontheotherheadlight.
