Thecuttingunitrollersshouldbemountedinthelower
positionwhenoperatinginheightofcutsgreaterthan64mm
(2-1/2inches)andinthehigherpositionwhenoperatingin
heightofcutslowerthan64mm(2-1/2inches).
1.Removetheboltandnutsecuringthegagewheelto
thecuttingunitbrackets(Figure28).

2.Checkandadjustfrontandreartractortirepressureto
172-207kPa(25-30psi).
3.Checkandadjustallcastortirepressuresto345kPa
(50psi).
4.Checkchargeandcounterbalancepressureswith
engineathighidleusingtestportsdenedinHydraulic
SystemsTestPorts.Adjustcounterbalanceto2241kPa
(325psi).
5.Checkforbentblades;refertoCheckingforaBent
Blade.
6.Cutgrassinatestareatodetermineifallcuttingunits
arecuttingatthesameheight.
7.Ifcuttingunitadjustmentsarestillneeded,ndaat
surfaceusinga2m(6foot)orlongerstraightedge.
8.Toeasemeasuringbladeplane,raisetheheightofcut
to7.6to10.1cm(3to4inches);refertoAdjustingthe
HeightofCut.
9.Lowercuttingunitsontotheatsurface.Removethe
coversfromthetopofthecuttingunits.
10.Loosentheangenut,securingtheidlerpulley,to
releasethebelttensiononeachcuttingunit.
