Cleanthespraysystemandanyinstalledspray
accessoriesaftereachsprayingsession.Toproperly
cleanthespraysystem,performthefollowing:
•Complete3separaterinsecycles.
•Usethecleanersandneutralizersas
recommendedbyyourchemicalmanufacturers.
•Usepure,cleanwater(nocleanersorneutralizers)
forthenalrinse.
1.Fillthetankwithatleast190L(50USgallons)
ofcleanwaterandclosethecover.
Note:Youcanuseacleaning/neutralizing
agentinthewaterasneeded.Onthenalrinse,
useonlyclean,clearwater.
2.Lowertheouterspraysectionsintothespray
position.
3.Starttheengine,setthespraypumpswitchto
theONposition,andmovethethrottleleverto
ahigh-enginespeed.
4.SettheagitationswitchtotheONposition.
5.Usetheapplication-rateswitchtoincreasethe
pressuretoahighsetting.
6.Settheindividualsectionswitchesandmaster
sectionswitchtotheONpositions.
7.Checkthenozzlestoensurethattheyareall
sprayingcorrectly.
8.Allowallwaterinthetanktosprayoutthrough
thenozzles.
9.SetthemastersectionswitchtotheOFF
position,thesettheagitationswitchand
spray-pumpswitchtotheOFFposition,andshut
offtheengine.
10.Repeatsteps1through9atleast2moretimes
toensurethatthespraysystemisfullycleaned.
Important:Youmustalwayscomplete3
rinsecyclestoensurethatthespraysystem
andsprayaccessoriesarefullyclean,
preventingdamagetothesystem.
CleaningExternalSprayerComponents
1.Cleanthesuctionandpressurelters;refer
toCleaningtheSuctionFilter(page42)and
CleaningthePressureFilter(page43).
Important:Ifyouusedwettablepowder
chemicals,cleanthestraineraftereachtank.
2.Usingagardenhose,rinseofftheoutsideofthe
sprayerwithcleanwater.
3.Removethenozzlesandcleanthembyhand.
Note:Replacedamagedorwornnozzles.
Note:Ifyourmachinehasoptionalnozzle
lters,cleanthembeforeinstallingthenozzles;
refertoCleaningtheNozzleFilter(page43).
CleaningtheSuctionFilter
ServiceInterval:Beforeeachuseordaily—Cleanthe
suctionlter.Cleanthesuctionlter
(moreoftenwhenusingwettable
powders).
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,engagethe
parkingbrake,shutoffthepump,shutoffthe
engine,andremovethekey.
2.Atthetopofthesprayertank,removethe
retainerthatsecuresthehosettingattachedto
thelargehosefromthelterhousing(Figure51).
