Removal (Fig. 3)
1. Park machine on a level surface, lower cutting units,
stop engine, engage parking brake and remove key
from the ignition switch. Raise hood.
2. Remove air cleaner components as needed using
Figures 3, 4 and 5 as guides.

Installation (Fig. 3)
IMPORTANT: Any leaks in the air filter system will
allow dirt into engine and will cause serious engine
damage. Make sure that all air cleaner components
are in good condition and are properly secured dur-
ing assembly.
1. Assemble air cleaner system using Figures 3, 4 and
5 as guides.
A. If indicator and adapter were removed from air
cleaner housing, apply thread sealant to adapter be-
fore installing adapter and indicator to housing.
B. Make sure that vacuator valve is pointed down af-
ter assembly.
