Security Settings
Logging In
There are two levels of security:
Security Level 1 allows users to change a limited group of secure settings. The default security
P I N i s 1111.
Security Level 2 allows users to change all secure settings. The default security PIN is 7123.
A technician must use the Tracer TU service tool to define a different PIN, or to recall a PIN that has
been forgotten. When defining a PIN in Tracer TU, the technician enters a 4-digit PIN that
corresponds with the desired level of security.
To log in:
1. Touch the Log in button. The Log in screen appears (
Figure 34).
2. Use the keypad to enter your PIN.
The PIN is a four-digit number, which was configured for your system with the Tracer TU
service tool.
As you enter the number, the PIN remains hidden by asterisks.
Note: If you enter an invalid PIN, an error message appears on the Log in screen.
3. Touch Save.
If you viewed the Log in screen from touching Log in on the Settings screen, the Settings
screen appears with a Log out button on it.
If the Log in screen appeared when you tried to change a setting, you return to that setting
screen.
Note: The PIN is valid until 30 minutes of inactivity passes, or until you log out.
