Check safety mechanisms
Check that all safety mechanisms on the machine are complete (no missing
covers, gratings, fences, …).
Check there are no accumulations of metal chips in the working area; any
deposits found must be removed
Note personal protection.
Look for visible oil or lubricoolant leaks
