The STI function: Start Infusion
This new parameter is common to all the cycles “coffee”. It allows to control the start of the infusion,
and then the pre-infusion, mainly for the one cup cycles. The one cup quality is improved and more
regular. That means that the PS programming of the backward at – 04 is no longer needed and the
programming of all the parameters of “coffee” keys can be done only by the menu PP.
Regarding the improvement given with the STI on the 1-cup cycle, we decide to apply the STI to the 2-
cup cycles. The parameter STI for the 2-cup cycle is calculated from the 1-cup one. So the change of the
STI value acts simultaneously on the 1 and 2-cup cycles. The best value is the one giving the best
compromise between 1 and 2-cup cycles.
Note: the function STI is not working in the “ test cycle “ of the “GRINDERS SETTING” menu. In
certain cases of very fine ground, the pan could be “perforated” during the test cycle (without STI) while
the infusion will be quite correct during the normal cycle.
Programming of STI parameter
STI is programmable in the menu “Pro Packing Level” by pressing twice the + key to make appear STI
= 00, and the PRO key to make “00” blink, then + or - for increasing or decreasing the value. .
STI = 00 is the factory setting (perfect adjustment in 95% of cases)
STI = > 00 delays the infusion
STI = < 00 anticipates the infusion
STI = >60 neutralises the effect of STI and goes back to a functioning similar to the previous software
versions.
(12) PROGRAMMING OF THE WASTE DRAWER CAPACITY
x Enables the programming of the capacity of the waste drawer according to the coffee
adjustments of the customer, in number of coffee or coffee+milk cups, in order to "stop"
the machine when this quantity is reached. A previous message appears when 90% of this
quantity is reached.
The average capacity seen is about 130 cups. The value "00" cancels the drawer overflow
safety, for example in the case of a direct draining-off into a very big bin (this can be also
programmed if necessary).
Default Value 90
