Maintenance Equipment
For trouble-free service, observe the following tips when using the RT40:
• Do not scratch the screen of the RT40.
• The touch-sensitive screen of the RT40 is glass. Do not drop the RT40 or subject it to strong
impact.
• Protect the RT40 from temperature extremes. Do not leave it on the dashboard of a car on
a hot day, and keep it away from heat sources.
• Do not store or use the RT40 in any location that is dusty, damp, or wet.
• Use a soft lens cloth to clean the RT40. If the surface of the screen becomes soiled,
clean it with a soft cloth moistened with a diluted window-cleaning solution.
Long-Term Storage
When storing the device for long periods of time, ensure that the battery has at least 50%
charge and is stored at -40~70°C.
Cleaning Instructions
Do not apply the liquid directly to the device. Dampen a soft cloth or use pre-moistened
wipes.
Do not wrap the device in the cloth or wipe, but gently wipe the unit. Be careful not to let
liquid pool around the display window or other places. Allow the unit to air dry before use.
