RAPTOR Hydro
When filling the tanks with fuel, do not use open fire and do not refuel in the confined non-ventilated premises –
danger of explosion of fuel vapours.
Do not overfill the tank; when the machine is tilted backwards the fuel may leak through the fuel cap bleeder.
When filling the fuel, make sure that no leak occurs and that you do not spill the fuel over the engine parts. If it
be to the contrary, dry the affected parts or wait until the petrol evaporates.
Screw the fuel tank cap as far as it is possible.
3.4.4.2.2 Fuel Valve

. The auxiliary fuel tank 2 , the engine tank 3 and the carburettor are interconnected by means of the three-way
valve 1 that is placed on the left side of the engine under the air filter. The valve van be set into three positions indicated by an arrow on
the rotary knob (for the positions when the valve is seen from the front, see
Fig. 9
on page
93
):
The arrow points to the right, marked with OFF – the fuel system is completely closed.
The arrow points upwards, engine silhouette – the engine uses the fuel from the engine tank.
The arrow points downwards, auxiliary tank silhouette – the engine uses the fuel from the auxiliary tank.
Due to a high portion of the BIO components in fuel, we strongly recommend to use the fuel alternately from the both
tanks. You will prevent the fuel in the tank that has not been used for a longer time from being spoiled.
When leaving the machine unattended, when transporting the machine or when parking or storing it always turn the
fuel valve knob to the position OFF .
3.4.4.3 Engine Starting
First of all, thoroughly read the engine operating instructions
68
! You will prevent the damage of the engine.
1. Cold engine: move the lever to the position 3 =MAX . Warm engine: move the lever to the position 2 =MIN .
When starting the engine, both control levers ( 1 and 4 on
Fig.
6
on page
92
) in the turn-off position (they must
not be pushed onto the handle) and the speed selector control lever must be in the neutral position (“N”)!
2. Start the engine by pulling on the hand starter cord
69
.
3. Leave the new or cold engine running until the automatic choke switches and the revolutions of the engine are stable without
fluctuations.
Do not leave the machine when starting the engine!
3.4.5 Connecting the Attachments
3.4.5.1 Connecting the Attachments to the Front
The tools – both active and passive – carried in the front of the machine are connected through four attachment points with M10 internal
threads that are placed in the side-walls of the lower frame of the machine - 22 and 23 on
Fig.
2
on page
91.
The rear attachment points 23 serve to direct the tool to the correct position in relation the drive pulley of the drive of the tool. Collar
screws are part of the RAPTOR Hydro carrier and remain attached in the carrier frame when disconnecting the tool.
Front attachment points 22 serve to firmly fix the tool to the carrier. Two collar screws are part of the purchased RAPTOR Hydro
carrier
70
. When disconnecting the tool from the carrier, they are entirely unscrewed and taken out.
Use only original screws delivered with the carrier and the tools. They have special guiding part that makes
putting of the screw into the thread easier and protects the threads in the frame of the carrier.
For tightening the attachment screws, use a bent ratchet wrench with 3/8“ square drive and 12-point socket 15 mm –
Fig.
14
on page
95
. Select the ratchet wrench with as low head as possible.
We recommend to lubricate the threads in the frame of the carrier with a lubricant that prevents the threads from
seizing and protects against corrosion (lubricants with addition of the graphite and copper used to lubricate moving
parts of the disc brakes – e.g. LOCTITE 8007).
Due to differences as regards the design of the attachable tools , the procedure of connecting the tool is described in the respective
operating instructions of each type of the tool.
68
The original engine operating instructions is included in the bag with the spare parts,
69
The engine startup instructions are described in detail in the engine operating instructions.
70
Additional two spare screws are part of the supplied tool.
