General network information
Network connection

connector.
Once connected you need to give the VarioCooking Center® an IP address. Note that you must be
given this type of information by the network administrator.
IP address
An IP address is an address generally expressed in the form of 4 numbers separated by dots. There
are in fact two parts to an IP address:
The numbers on the left which refers to the network. It is called the network ID (netID).
The numbers on the right refer to computers on that network. It is called the host ID (host-ID)
For a better understanding we can compare it to a postal address:
192.168.1. 10
Network ID
Fixed part for every computer on the network
Comparable to the street name. Each address
is unique to each computer connected to the
network. It cannot be used at the same time by
two separate computers.
Host ID
Variable part for each computer
Comparable to the house number in the street.
