9.5.5 Disabling the Packing Mode
Packing mode is a feature designed to protect the system from damage during
shipping. Before using the system, you need to turn off the packing mode on the
control panel page.
If you don’t turn off the packing mode, the system cannot
operate properly even after the power is on.
To disable the packing mode:
1. Go to the General tab on the control panel page.
2. Check Serial and set serial port and baud rate as below.
3. In the Networking option, enable the Serial checkbox, set serial port
and baud rate as illustrated below, and click Manager.
If an error has occurred during connection, make sure the
COM port setting is correct as follows:
1. Run the Device Manager.
2. Check the COM port assigned to “com0com,” as shown
in the following figure.
3. If it is not assigned correctly, change the COM port in the
Networking option and click Save.
4. Enter the command PVER] to verify the current mode. Note that the equipment is
now in packing mode.
