Calibration
Procedure 3.3: To perform a data collection
Calibration
The recommended calibration for a density gauges is a two-point
calibration. The two-point calibration measures the low and high process
conditions.
The two-point calibration method involves three main steps:
1. Setting the low density
2. Setting the high density
3. Calculating the calibration
1 Setting the low density and collecting Cal Low data
You must:
1. Use the gauge to measure the low process density.
2. Enter the actual density.
This sets the low end (sometimes called 0) of the calibration curve. Perform
this procedure before or after setting the high density.
1. Select Calibrations | Data Collect.
2. Click Execute.
3. Set the process to a known point.
4. Click Start.
After the data collection, the number of counts output by the
gauge appears.
5. Click Accept.
6. Repeat as often as necessary if checking repeatability.
Note: The two-point calibration method is useful in conjunction with
any linearizer method.
