Cleaning of the single parts
Please demount the system carefully according 8.6. If necessary, you can wipe off the actuator
with a cloth which is damped with isopropanol (IPA).
The single parts Luer-Lock connector, tappet guidance and fluid box can be pre-cleaned by
pushing pressurized air through them.
Rinse the carefully demounted fluid box, tappet sealing, tappet guidance, tappet centering piece,
cartridge base/hollow screw and demounted nuzzle unit with isopropanol and place the parts into
a large enough beaker (please take care not to tilt the fluid box while removing it from the actuator;
this can damage the tappet sealing), Fill sufficient isopropanol into the beaker and place it for 10
minutes in an ultrasonic bath. Following this strategy leads in general to a sufficient cleaning of the
single parts. Now you can dry them on air or with compressed air and reassemble them again.
If the single components are heavily polluted, you have to pre-clean the components mechanically
(this procedure is also advised for not so heavily polluted components). For this pre-cleaning,
please use our CTK - Cleaning Tool Kit. You can remove basifixed fluid residues from the fluid
box, the hollow screw and the tappet sealing with the cleaning rod or the fluid brush. For the
removal of the sealing ring in the fluid box or for the particle free cleaning of fluid contacting parts
please use only the fluid box brush. Nuzzle inserts can be cleaned and pierced through with
special nozzle insert wire (Attention: pay attention to the diameter of the nozzle insert and the
nozzle insert wire! The particular article numbers can be requested at VERMES Microdispensing).
For the complete cleaning of the tappet guidance the fluid box cleaner is necessary. Please use
the thick side of the squeezing out tool for nozzle inserts for the removal of the tappet sealing and
the centering piece (MDT 304) for the removal of the nozzle insert the thinner side of the
squeezing out tool for nozzle inserts.
