2. Important Information
To ensure security the Micro Dispensing System MDS 3000 and its necessary accessories should
only be operated by competent, special trained persons, which have read and understood this
instruction manual and are in good knowledge about the possible dangers.
Each person being involved in the installation or the maintenance of this system has to be
qualified for such jobs.
2.1. General
Please pay attention to the danger and safety data sheets of the liquids to be dispensed.
Wear protective clothing, face protection, glasses and gloves when dispensing aggressive,
reactive or toxic fluids.

pressure.
2.2. Specified normal operation
Additional heating may only be carried out with a heating system by VERMES
Microdispensing.
The Micro Dispensing System MDS 3010A/MDS 3020A can be used in a laboratory or
production environment.
Provided highest frequencies (up to 450 Hz) and parameter settings have to be followed.
The dictated maintenance rates have to be followed.
Please avoid the usage of media which affect the functioning of the Micro Dispensing
System.
2.3. Technical details
The usage of the Micro Dispensing System MDS 3010A/MDS 3020A is only allowed at up
to an elevation of 2000 m above sea level.
Relative humidity: maximum 80 % at 31 °C, decreasing linear until 50 % at 50 °C.
Fluctuation of the line voltage is not allowed over ± 10 % of the nominal voltage.
Transient over voltage according to IEC 60364-4-443 will be tolerated: degree of pollution
II is allowed.
The employed power cords have to be accompanied by a grounding equipment
conductor. The power sockets have to be within safety regulations. When using cables not
supplied by VERMES Microdispensing, the warranty of the Micro Dispensing System
MDS 3010A/MDS 3020A will only range till the operator interface.
During installation and operation attention needs to be paid to sufficient air circulation:
minimum distances above and below the system are 1.5 cm. VERMES Microdispensing
advises a separate housing build according to fire prevention regulation as covered in
EN 61010-1.
During the usage of a heated system, please note, that the tangible surfaces can be hot
and lead to severe burns.
The safety of the apparatus can be affected by using parts/units not advised by VERMES
Microdispensing. The same can be considered for the usage of dangerous substances or
the operation in an explosive environment, for which the Micro Dispensing System MDS
3010A/MDS 3020A is not designed.
