5 Use
Starting
Check that the indicator lights for oil pressure
and alternator are o.
Cooling water should now ow out of the ex-
haust; if this is not the case, stop the engine
immediately

Let the engine run for 5 to 10 minutes in neu-
tral. A good warm up is essential to ensure
maximum lifetime and good performance.
Never turn the main switch o while the en-
gine is running.
Caution
Never turn the key to the ‘start’ position
while the engine is running.
Doing so will damage the starter motor.
