17. LUBRICATION
The user MUST always switch off the unit following procedure 5 and STOP THE MACHINE. Always clean the unit before lubricating
it. The 3022 unit includes 3 oil tanks in the following positions:
1) – UPPER SEWING HEAD:
This tank is located at the fusion centre behind the upper thread passage, is closed by a red plastic cap and is used to lubricate the
upper part of the sewing head. For the NEEDLE BAR, there are two small tanks next to the bushings on the needle bar pendulum,
which are connected to the upper tank by two tubes.
2) – LOWER SEWING HEAD:
This tank is located at the fusion centre in the machine surface, is closed by metal sheet and is used to lubricate the lower part of
the sewing head.
3) – LOWER SEWING HEAD:
This tank is located in right-hand corner of the machine surface, is closed by metal sheet and is used to lubricate the loop widening
movement.
The unit only uses very thick, non-detergent oil such as
SAE220. Check the oil levels in the tanks twice a day (morning and
afternoon).
