1 Introduction
1.1 Brief description
In photovoltaic systems, Voltwerk VS series string inverters
convert direct current from solar modules into grid-
compatible alternating current. They then feed the power into
the public power grid. The string inverters of the Voltwerk VS
series are transformerless units for single-phase power feed
to the grid.
The Voltwerk VS series consists of:

All string inverters have a 2-line display.
1.2 Intended use
Inverters of the Voltwerk VS series are designed exclusively
for the conversion of direct current from solar modules to
alternating current. Any other use shall be deemed not to be
as intended.
The product may only be set up in accordance with the
Specifications
Intended use also includes compliance with the
specifications of this manual.
1.3 Standards and technical directives
The standards and guidelines that the inverters satisfy can be
found in the Declaration of Conformity.
