9. Software and firmware updates
9.1. SMP Reader (PC software) update
You can update the SMP Reader by downloading the most recent version
from the Wavecontrol intranet: www.wavecontrol.com, “Home” “Login”.
Step 1: Registration
You can register with the intranet in one of these two ways:
• from www.wavecontrol.com (“Home” “Create an account”), or
• when connecting the SMP3 with the software (see 8.3).
Step 2: Download and install
Once registered, please go to:
www.wavecontrol.com “Home” “Login”, and enter your login and
password. You will be directed to the download page.
Once in the download page, click on “SMP3” “SMP3 software”. Download
and install the file: SMP3_software.zip.
9.2. SMP3 firmware update
Please follow these steps:
1. Update SMP Reader (please follow the instruction in 9.1).
2. Run the SMP Reader software
3. Connect the SMP3 to the PC using the USB cable.
The SMP Reader will automatically detect whether a more recent version of
the firmware or the expansion board firmware is available.
4. Click on “Update”.
