I/O Status
PLC300 | 8-1
8 I/O STATUS
By pressing the <SETUP> key rapidly, we enter the check screen of the I/O status. The
arrows <> and <> browse through the status screens. These screens depend on the
hardware, if there is expansion or not, and the function of the digital output DO9, for instance.
Internal digital Inputs and outputs
You can check on the first screen the level of the ten internal digital inputs: DI1 to DI10 and
of the internal digital outputs.
[- STATUS PLC300 -]
10..7..4..1
I10..01: 0010001011
009..01: 100011000
In the example, the outputs 1, 2, 4 and 8, as well as the outputs 4, 5 and 9 are active.
If the digital output 9 is programmed as PWM output, instead of 0 or 1, the letter ‘P’ is shown.
[- STATUS PLC300 -]
10..7..4..1
I10..01: 0010001011
009..01: P00011000
Internal analog input and output
By pressing the arrow <>, we go to the next status screen, which shows the internal
analog input and output:
[- STATUS PLC300 -]
AI1: 9.1V 18.2mA
Ao1:10.0V 20.0mA
The example screen above shows the voltage at the analog input AI1, of 9.1 V, or, if you
are measuring current, 18.2 mA.
In the option 4 to 20 mA, for input AI1, the value that the ladder sees is a proportional,
standardized value, that is, 4 to 20 mA 0 to 32767, but the status shows the real value
of the current.
The analog output AO1, is with 10 V or 20 mA, simultaneously, depending on the physical
output that is being used (see XC2).
Digital output DO9 in PWM
If he digital output DO9 is programmed as PWM, by pressing the key <>, we can see
the screen that shows this output data:
[- STATUS PLC300 -]
DO9 - PWM
FREQUENCY :10.12kHz
DUTY CYCLE:84.90%
