WEILER E1250
1-24
General Information
1
If it is necessary to build a ramp to unload the machine from a trailer, be certain to keep the ramp angle shallow
enough so no part of the undercarriage of the machine will strike or hang up on the ramp. Also block sufficiently to
support the weight of the machine, which at operating weight with water, fuel, lubricants and operator can be in
excess of 50,000 pounds, depending on the options on the machine.
CAUTION: If it is necessary to use creosoted timbers for a ramp, they can be slippery and
dangerous, use sand on them to prevent slippage.
Set brakes and block trailer wheels so it cannot move in either direction as the machine is being loaded or unloaded.
If unloading by crane, use a crane of at least 30 ton capacity.
DRIVE ON/OFF PROCEDURE FOR LOADING AND UNLOADING MACHINE
1. The operator should become familiar with all the controls and their functions before unloading the machine. Refer
to the Component Locations on the previous pages and refer to Engine Startup procedures before attempting to start
or operate the machine.
2. Check to make certain PROPEL lever is in the NEUTRAL
position. Place the propel motor high/ low switch (1) in LOW
range.. Place the propel creep switch in LOW range (2).
3. Move elevator and conveyors to a position that will not cause
them to collide with any objects
4. Fully open engine throttle to governed engine speed and
release parking brake (3).
5. Use PROPEL lever (4) to move machine. Speed increases as
the lever is moved away from neutral. Pull knob up to move past
the neutral stop.
