BATTERY CHARGING
WARNING: Battery posts, terminals, and related accessories contain lead compounds, chemicals
known to the state of California to cause cancer and reproductive harm. Wash hands after
handling.
WARNING: Batteries contain sulfuric acid. In case of contact with skin, flush affected area with
water for five minutes. Seek medical attention immediately. Avoid contact with the skin, eyes or
clothing. Wear eye protection when working near batteries.
CAUTION: Always observe correct polarity when installing batteries or using a booster battery to
jump start the engine.
Never make or break any of the charging circuit connections, including the connection at the batteries, when the
engine is running. Never short any of the charging components to ground.
The E1250 uses a 24 volt system. Do not use a booster battery or charger of more than 24 volts.
BATTERY CHARGING PROCEDURE - CHARGING AS 12V SYSTEM
1.Before charging the batteries, turn the master switch off and remove key to prevent others from activating any
electrical circuits.
2. Attach charging device (booster battery or battery charger) to
terminals of one battery at a time. Observe polarity, connecting
positive of the charging device to positive (1) of the battery (2)
and negative of the charging device to negative(3) of the battery
(4).
3. Allow battery time to charge. Longer charges at lower current
are better.
4. Disconnect the charging device, negative terminal before
positive terminal.
5. Turn master switch “on”.
6. Start engine using normal starting procedures.
