Why does my Westen Boiler shut down for ignition failure?
    • K
      Karla WilsonAug 13, 2025
Your Westen Boiler might shut down due to several reasons: no inlet gas pressure, an interrupted ignition switch-flame sensor wire, a faulty or incorrectly positioned flame sensing electrode, a faulty gas valve, or a faulty electronic board. To resolve this, check that the gas valve is open and there is no air in the gas supply circuit, and verify the gas supply pressure. Also, check the wire is uninterrupted and makes good contact with the flame sensing electrode and the ignition switch. Inspect the connections between the gas valve and the electronic board. Finally, ensure the flame sensing electrode is in good condition and in the right position.

What to do if my Westen Pulsar E shuts down due to the safety thermostat?
    • J
      jackielivingstonAug 17, 2025
If your Westen Boiler shuts down due to the safety thermostat, it could be due to no water in the primary circuit (pump blocked or exchanger obstructed), a faulty limit thermostat, interrupted limit thermostat wiring, a faulty CH flow NTC probe, or a faulty electronic board. You can check pump operation by unscrewing the front cap and releasing the pump impeller with a screwdriver and check the pump power input wiring. Inspect the limit thermostat for damage and replace it if necessary. Also, check the continuity of the limit thermostat wiring and check whether the exchanger is clogged.

How to fix a flow sensor failure in my Westen Pulsar E Boiler?
    • E
      Elizabeth BatesAug 21, 2025
A flow sensor failure in your Westen Boiler can occur if the CH flow NTC probe is faulty (circuit open or shorted) or if the CH flow probe wiring is interrupted or shorted. To address this, check the CH flow NTC probe and the continuity of the CH flow probe wiring. Also, make sure the wiring has not shorted.

What to do if my Westen Pulsar E shows a DHW sensor fault?
    • M
      michelleparsonsAug 25, 2025
If your Westen Boiler shows a DHW sensor fault, it may be due to a faulty DHW flow NTC probe (circuit open or shorted) or interrupted/shorted DHW flow probe wiring. Check the DHW NTC probe and the continuity of the DHW probe wiring. Ensure the wiring is not shorted.

Why does my Westen Boiler display a fumes NTC probe fault?
    • K
      Karen LeblancAug 31, 2025
A fumes NTC probe fault in your Westen Boiler may occur if the fumes NTC probe is faulty (circuit open) or if the fumes probe wiring is interrupted. You should check the fumes NTC probe and the continuity of the fumes probe wiring.
