10.11 Servo oil pump - troubleshooting
To troubleshoot the flow sensor, refer to the following instructions:
10.11.1 Flow sensor check
To resolve a flow sensor alarm, refer to the following instructions:
1 Disconnect the sensor from the connector.
2 Wait for 10 seconds to connect the sensor to the connector.
3 Monitor the following conditions:
Condition 1: If 2 LEDs glow orange and 1 LED glows green at the same time, then the sensor
is OK.
Condition 2: If only 1 LED glows green, then the sensor is faulty.
Condition 3: If no LEDs glow, then there is no power supply to the sensor.
NOTE: If the sensor is OK, then check the servo oil pump operation.
10.11.2 Servo oil pump operation check
To check for the servo oil pump operation, refer to the following instructions:
1 Engine must be at low load.
2 Remove the solenoid connector from the servo oil pump.
NOTE: Do no remove the solenoid connector from the servo oil pump which gives a flow
alarm.
3 The servo oil pump which gives a flow alarm must now supply the servo oil in full capacity.
4 The flow alarm stops.
5 Wait for a minute to monitor the following conditions:
Condition 1: If the flow alarm stops, then the servo oil pump is operational and only needs
calibration.
Condition 2: If the flow alarm does not stop, the servo oil pump must be removed from the
engine.
