When the chain is on a small rear sprocket, this is called a high gear ratio. Pedalling in a high
gear means the bike covers more distance per pedal revolution.
When the chain is on a large rear sprocket, this is called a low gear ratio. Pedalling in a low
gear means the bike covers less distance per pedal revolution.

CAUTION
When cutting the cable ties, take care not to damage parts of the bike, especially the
tyres, brake cables and other cables. Failure to observe this information can result in
faulty function, material damage, dangerous situations and injury.
1. Remove the packaging and carefully cut any cable ties.
2. Remove the protective plastic disc from the derailleur on the rear wheel.
3. Note down the frame number of your woom bike. This number is unique to your bike
and provides an important way of identifying it when reporting a theft to the police
and liaising with your insurance provider. You can nd the number on the underside
of the frame near the bottom bracket. You could also write the frame number on your
warranty card – see inside cover.
