73 Adjusting the position of the handlebars
WARNING
Make sure that the handlebars are centred after all adjustments. The marking on the
front (if present) helps with alignment.
Also make sure that the clamps are not twisted and are parallel to each other. Ensure
that the handlebars cannot be rotated when the bolts are tightened. See Chapter 6 for
more information on properly installing the handlebars on your woom bike. Failure
to observe this information can result in material damage, severe damage to health
(danger to life) or death.
You can adjust the position and angle of the handlebars to your child's size with the stem or
Vario clamps. Your child should be able to reach the grips easily while sitting on the saddle,
leaning forward a bit with slightly bent arms. To make the adjustment, loosen the bolts of
the stem or Vario clamps. Move the handlebars into the desired position. Make sure that the
grips and brake levers are back in the correct position and tighten the bolts to the recom-
mended torque.
