CAUTION
Depending on the road surface and conditions, the braking distance may vary. On
wet roads in particular, make sure that your child makes allowance for a longer bra-
king distance. Failure to observe this information can result in malfunction, material
damage, dangerous situations and injury.
Coaster brake for the woom ORIGINAL 2 (applicable only in the USA):
The coaster brake is actuated by ap-
plying pressure with the foot to either
pedal against the direction of rotation
of the drive, i.e. back-pedalling. To do
this, the pedal must be positioned in
the rearward position (see illustration).
WARNING
A sharp application of the coaster brake can cause the rear wheel to lock up and
your child might lose control of the bike. Before use, make sure your child is familiar
with how to use the coaster brake safely. The alignment of the chain and the chain
tension must be checked regularly to ensure proper functioning of the coaster brake
(see Chapter 10). Failure to observe this information can result in material damage,
severe damage to health (danger to life) or death.
