Move Handle 2a to the right and remove any
jammed paper.
Open the Bottom Right Cover and tear off Lead
Edge of any jammed sheet. Also, clear any
jammed sheets from the Bypass (Tray 5)
feeder. Then, open the Front Door.
Transfer Module and Fuser Jam Clearance
This section describes how to clear paper jams
that occur in the Transfer Module and Fuser
area.
Turn Handle 2 to the right until it is in the
horizontal position, then pull out the transfer
module.
Warning: Never touch a labeled area (found
on the fuser unit or nearby) indicating “High
Temperature” and “Caution”. You may get
burned.
Remove the visible jammed paper.
After clearing the jammed sheet, check to see
that no torn paper pieces are left in the machine
and then run 5 blank sheets to clean left over
toner from the Fuser roll.
