Reset only the usernames and passwords
Through this option, you can deletes only the usernames and passwords. To reset the device, follow these
steps:
1. Switch the ipVG off,
2. Connect only control input 1 to ground, as shown below, refer to "Pin assignment terminal block" on page
21:
3. Connect a 9 pin Sub-D socket with pin 2 connected to pin 3, and pin 7 connected to pin 8,
4. Connect this reset socket to the RS-232 interface, refer to item 11 in "Rear View and Description" on
page 19,
5. Switch the ipVG unit on and wait until the LED Power on the front starts flashing,
6. Remove the reset socket, the ipVG restarts automatically.
ipVG will be ready again as soon as the device reset and reinitialization processes are complete.
Reset without clearing the archive and the archive settings
Through this option, you can reset the ipVG without deleting the archive and the archive settings. To reset the
device, follow these steps:
1. Switch the ipVG off,
2. Connect only control input 2 to ground, as shown below, refer to "Pin assignment terminal block" on page
21:
3. Connect a 9 pin Sub-D socket with pin 2 connected to pin 3, and pin 7 connected to pin 8,
4. Connect this reset socket to the RS-232 interface, refer to item 11 in "Rear View and Description" on
page 19,
5. Switch the ipVG unit on and wait until the LED Power on the front starts flashing,
6. Remove the reset socket, the ipVG restarts automatically.
ipVG will be ready again as soon as the device reset and reinitialization processes are complete.
