11.1 Activation of the Web Server and Web API
The Web Server and Web API are always activated via the Network (TCP/IP) dialog, which you can find
under the Connections node. The Web Server and Web API are deactivated in the factory settings.
Web Server
When the Web Server option is activated, one of the six default connections is dispensed with in favour of up
to four Web browser connections.
Port
The default port for the Web Server is port 80. This can be changed.
Configure the connection timeout for the Web Server
When the Web Server is activated, you can configure an Automatic disconnect after time for it.
The default setting is 30 minutes.
Web API
Activating the Web API option enables access to the device-internal Web interface. This goes beyond the
functional scope of the Web Server.
The port configuration of the Web Server also applies to the Web API.
Note: Ensure that you activate the Web API if you want to access the relevant video system using the
HeiTel software CamControl Android, CamControl iPhone, CamControl MV and/or CamControl
WM.
Ensure that the router parameters are set correctly, refer to ”Router parameters” in the previous
section.
