upandconfirmingtheVnet/IPconfiguration.
TheManagedSwitchesalsosupportmanyotherCLIcommandsnotdescribedinthis
document.Formoreinformation,refertotheCLIReferenceManualintheattacheddisc
media of the Managed Switch.
ThisisnotapplicabletotheUnmanagedSwitch.
4.1 Preparationforsetting
For CLI control, connect a Managed Switch to a computer using a terminal cable.
Use a terminal software such as “Teraterm” to emulate VT-100 terminal with the computer. The
connection setup parameters for the terminal software are as shown below.
• Speed: 9600 bps
• Data: 8 bit
• Parity: None
• Stopbit: 1 bit
• Handshake: None
Several of the commands may display many and/or long line of response messages. For the
terminal software, the recommended display setup is as shown below
• Expand the terminal window size to approximately 120 columns.
• Expand the scroll buffer size to approximately 10000 lines.
