Allow everyone except your competitors to access a Web server.
Restrict use of certain protocols, such as Telnet, to authorized users on the LAN.
These custom rules work by comparing the Source IP address, Destination IP address and IP
protocol type of network traffic to rules set by the administrator. Your customized rules take
precedence and override the GPON Device’s default rules.
7.1 Outgoing IP Filtering
Click Advanced Setup > Security > IP Filtering > Outgoing to display the following screen.
This screen displays a list of the configured outgoing filtering rules.

7.1.1 Creating Outgoing Filtering Rules
In the Outgoing IP Filtering Setup screen, click Add to display this screen where you can
configure an outgoing IP filter rule.

LABEL DESCRIPTION
Filter Name This displays the name of the rule.
IP Version This shows the IP version.
Protocol This displays the IP protocol that defines the service to which this rule applies.
SrcIP/ PrefixLength This displays the source IP address or prefix length to which this rule applies.
SrcPort This is the source port number.
DstIP/ PrefixLength This displays the destination IP addresses or prefix length to which this rule applies.
DstPort This is the destination port number.
Remove Select the rule(s) you want to delete in the Remove column and then click the Remove
button.
Add Click Add to create a new rule.
Remove Click Remove to delete the selected rule(s).
