13. Underhook
The underhook can be used for weighing large samples, magnetic materials or for
measuring density. The built-in underhook is revealed by removing the cover plates on the
bottom of the balance. Use the underhook as shown below.
Caution
Do not apply excessive force to the underhook.
When not in use, attach the cover
plate to prevent dust from getting
into the balance.
The weighing pan, pan support and
draft gate fall off, when turnig over
the balance. Remove them first.
Step 1 Remove the draft gate.
Step 2 Remove the weighing pan
and pan support.
Step 3 Turn over the balance.
Step 4 Remove the cover plates.
Step 5 Hang from the underhook.
