Check that a brake resistor has been
connected.
Check the condition of the brake
resistor.
Check the dimensioning of the brake
resistor.
7183 BR excess temperature Brake resistor
temperature has
exceeded fault limit

43.11 Brake resistor
fault limit.
Stop drive. Let resistor cool down.
Check resistor overload protection
function settings (parameter group

Check fault limit setting, parameter

Check that braking cycle meets

Let chopper cool down.
Check for excessive ambient
temperature.
Check for cooling fan failure.
Check for obstructions in the air flow.
Check resistor overload protection

Check that drive supply AC voltage is
not excessive.
7310 Overspeed Motor is turning faster
than highest allowed
speed due to
incorrectly set
minimum/maximum
speed, insufficient

Check minimum/maximum speed
settings, parameters 30.11 Minimum
speed and 30.12 Maximum speed.
Check adequacy of motor braking
torque.
Check applicability of torque control.
Check need for brake chopper and
resistor(s).
