Recommended separation distances between portable and mobile RF communication equipment and X-MIND unity medical device
These devices are intended to be used in environments where radiated RF interference is controlled. The customer or X-MIND unity
operator can help prevent electromagnetic interference by maintaining a minimum distance between portable and mobile RF communi-
cation equipment (transmitters) and X-MIND unity, as indicated below, according to the maximum output power of the communication
equipment.
Rated maximum output power
of the transmitter
W
Separation distance according to transmitter frequency
150 kHz à 80 MHz
d= 1,2 √P
80 MHz à 800 MHz
d= 1,2 √P
800 MHz à 2,5 GHz
d= 2,3 √P
0,01 0,12 0,12 0,24
0,1 0,38 0,38 0,73
1 1,2 1,2 2,3
10 3,8 3,8 7,3
100 12 12 23
In the event of transmitters whose maximum nominal output power coecient does not fall within the indicated parameters, the
recommended separation distance in metres (m) can be determined by means of the equation corresponding to the frequency of the
transmitter, where P is the maximum output power coecient of the transmitter in watts (W) according to the information provided by
the manufacturer.
Note 1: At 80 MHz and 800 MHz apply the separation distance corresponding to the highest frequency range.
Note 2: These guidelines may not apply in every situation. Electromagnetic propagation is affected by absorption and reection from
structures, objects and people.
