4. REMOTE CONTROLLING VIA USB
4.1 Outline
This instrument includes a USB port which is compliant with the USB2.0 Full Speed standard.
By connecting more than one instrument to the USB ports on a personal computer, the functions of the instru-
ments can be set, measurement data can be read from the personal computer, and the automatic measurement
system can be set up easily.
CAUTION: The 8230 cannot be guaranteed to operate with all personal computers, hubs, etc.
4.2 USB Specifications
Standard: Compliant with USB2.0 Full Speed
Connector: USB mini B type (female)
Connection cable: A112010 of our product; USB(A) male - USB(mini B) male, 1-m
MYID: MYID can be set to 1 to 127.
Remote/Local: Function is available
Input command: ASCII strings command which sets functions and the query command
Output format: ASCII strings which describe measurement data and query reply output
Driver: ADC Instruments USB Driver

4.3.1 Driver for Control
To control this instrument, ADC Instruments USB Driver must be installed.
